Welcome to the 2010-2011 School Year! 1B has PE on Monday and Friday. Please send your child to school in their PE uniforms. The students will remain in these clothes the entire day.

Science
We will be learning all about our five senses- smell, touch, sight, sound, taste. Ask your child about what they know about this topic and how we use them each day.

Religion
Please review The Sign of the Cross rubric that was sent home. The students will be assessed on this information on Friday, September 10th.

Daily Homework: Please review the homework sheet sent home. These assignments must be completed and returned the very next day. Reading: Please read with your child for 15 minutes. Review sight words. Practice short a sound. English: Practice capitalization rules-names, days of the week, months. Review punctuation such as periods, question marks, and exclamation points. Math: Count forwards and backwards to 20. Review number words. Stewardship for mass tomorrow.

Wednesday
Reading: Review sight words with your children. Math: Practice number words from zero to twelve. Practice counting backwards from 20 to 0. Religion: Review Sign of the Cross hand motions and words.

Thursday
Reading: Practice sight words. Math: Review counting forwards and backwards to 20. AR levels and goals were sent home today. Please review the information and return the signed section. The students can start testing on Monday! Ice Cream Day

Spelling: Test Today Religion: Sign of the Cross assessment today Enjoy your weekend.
