Greetings all 6th, 7th, and 8th
grade Mustangs! The Saint John Vianney Youth Ministry would like
to invite you to an exciting event on Saturday, January 7th
with youth from our neighboring parishes, such as Holy Family,
Holy Cross, & Blessed Trinity. Make sure to RSVP with Mr. Reyes
by Wednesday, 1/4 at the very latest!

Saint John Vianney Youth
Ministry
“Inspired by the love of
Christ to be the Church of the future and today.”
The Saint John Vianney Youth
Ministry will have two programs this year:
· Middle
School Ministry (open to youth grades 6-8) with meetings
Sundays, early evening
· High
School Ministry (open to youth grades 9-12) with meetings
Sundays, late evening
The registration fee will
be shared at the Kick-Off event but will not exceed $50.

center, blacktop, and field for a time filled with food, sports,
and fun, and to learn about what the year has in store for the
Saint John Vianney Youth Ministry.

Festival” taking place at Universal Studios.

Meetings for Middle School and High School Ministries

Youth Ministry Kick-Off
St. John Vianney
School offers its students a wide range of extracurricular
activities.
-
Students in grades K-4 can participate in
CYL sports.
-
Students in grades 5-8 may play
basketball, soccer, volleyball and join the track team
through CMAC (the Catholic Middle School Athletic
Commission).

Students have the opportunity to qualify
for the National Junior Honor Society and run for Student
Council office.
-
Middle school students can join the
Science Club.
-
Students in grades 1-8 can join the
choir, chorus, the bell choir, and band.
-
Students may volunteer as altar servers.
-
Scouting is available at SJV.
-
Middle school students can join the TAG
team (Teens in Action Group) which is a social and service
organization.
-
There is an annual talent show where
fifth through eighth graders can showcase their many
talents.
-
Saint John Vianney also has a Thespian
Society and Drama Club, open to 6-8 grade students. The students
perform in both a fall and spring play. In addition to being
actors students can also work behind the scenes as the stage
crew.
